Week 3- Reshoot

Chess-Zilla!!!

Concept: After hearing about the project, I started brainstorming. I thought a lot of students would probably take people and shrink them into an object. I did the opposite. I choose objects, all of which are chess pieces, that I intend to enlarge and put place in a busy place. I choose the a road intersection as me place. I choose people and asked them to look like they are about to get stomped on by Godzilla. My intentions are to design a photo were multiply giant chess pieces will be invading a local area. People will be running, there will be chaos, and people may get squashed. Most people would run away from something large and threatening like Godzilla, but the twist is that it is ordinary chess pieces people are running from.

Craft: Now knowing the concept, I asked people to look is if there just seen or are running away from Godzilla. I used white construction piece paper to take photos of the chess pieces. It made for an easy time cropping each piece out. Using Photoshop, I'll manipulate a photo that will have giant size chess pieces terrorizing the intersection of 103rd and Pulaski.

Composition: Using the street intersection, I thought it be a prefect way of conveying a high traffic and busy picture. The chess pieces are to blend into the photo and carry on a role similar to Godzilla. The people in the photo to be looking panic'd and/fleeing. Amanda W. in my photo is current being crushed by a Knight piece. This will help convey the message that I am trying to achieve of giant attacking chess pieces.
