Craft: Using photoshop, I added smoke. In addition, I took the female in the picture and crushed her with the knight. I enlarged the knight. I added a picture of a crushed car that I took when I was Sydney, Australia. I moved the fires around the photo. I also switched the hand and blood to not be in the knights shadow.
Composition: I brightened the chess pieces because I wanted the viewer to notice them first. The elements that go with the theme of destruction was the next noticeable element. The smoke and fires, and blood were to create this feeling of chaos. The crushed car reinforces the idea of chaos by chess pieces. Last, would be the background which is an ordinary street intersection. I chose this area because I wanted it to look busy. There is a lot of little details to reinforce the overall idea of my message in the image.
Concept: The message is to convey a sense of chaos. The image is busy and full of destruction. The irony is that instead of giant creatures like Godzilla, its giant chess pieces.
